How much Noni should I take?
It is best to take 1 oz. of noni juice on an empty stomach half an hour before you eat in the morning. Some people break it up into two servings and take the second serving half an hour before dinner.

Most people except the purists will need to have some water or juice to rinse the noni down with. Once your body has gotten used to noni, you may increase the dosage as desired. There are no side effects of noni and it is impossible to overdose on noni!

By law we are required to say that if you have any type of health condition while you take noni, you should consult with a physician.
Can I take Noni while I am seeing a doctor?
Noni is a safe fruit with no known counter-indications or side effects. If you are currently under a doctor's care, it is important to let them know that you plan to take noni and listen to their advice.
Can Noni help diabetes patients?
Dr. Solomon organized a study which has grown to include 75 health professionals and over 15,000 patients. In his study, doctors and/or patients are to drink Noni Juice for a 7-month period, with a loading serving of 4 oz. the 1st month, a therapeutic serving of 3 oz. for the following 5 months, and a maintenance/prevention serving of 2 oz. the 7th month (half these amounts for children).

84% of 4,232 diabetes 1 or diabetes 2 patients reported an improvement in their condition. There are thousands of testimonials on the internet how noni has helped diabetes patients with noni. Certainly this is no proof that it will work for everyone. (Note: a Type I diabetic should never substitute noni juice or any supplement for insulin shots).
Can pregnant women take Hawaiian Noni?
Yes! Pregnant women have taken our Noni without any difficulties. In fact we have never heard of anyone ever experiencing any trouble or pain from taking Hawaiian Paradise Noni. There have been many testimonials from pregnant women who took Paradise Noni products.
Do we use pesticides?
Absolutely not! We use multi-tons of natural, organic mulch, compost, manures, micro-nutrient rich coral calcium powders, organic foliar seaweed fertilizers and other natural soil and plant amendments. We do not use mildewcides, pesticides or fungicides on our valuable Noni plants.
How is our Noni juice made?
We make our Paradise Noni juice using the traditional Hawaiian process known as 'dripping'. The mature fruit is stacked up into a vat. Then the weight of the stacked fruit becomes a natural press that lets the juice flow under the weight of additional ripe fruits. The juice is then filtered several times to remove all impurities and debris and finally flash-pasteurized to preserve most of the nutrients and vitamins. Flash pasteurization allows most of the nutrients and especially the enzymes to remain active. Upon request we can sell you unpasteurized noni juice.
How is our Noni powder made?
There are three main methods to produce noni powder:

1. Sun-Dried Fruit Powder

Ripe noni fruit is sliced and allowed to dry in the sun. The dried fruit slices are then milled to powder. This is a natural process but consideration should be given to the fact that this type of powder is typically produced in a non-sterile environment and therefore proper sterilization methods should be used before the product is handled for encapsulation or reconstitution. Additional milling may also be required if the mesh size is too large. This is the method used by us to produce 100% Paradise Noni Powder.

2. Mechanically-Dried Fruit Powder

Ripe noni fruit is washed, sliced and placed in low temperature dryers to preserve the natural enzymes. The dried fruit slices are then milled to powder, providing a clean, aseptic noni fruit powder containing all of the active components as well as other compounds. This method is suitable for encapsulation or reconstitution.

3. Freeze-Dried Fruit Powder

This product came about out of necessity, not as a result of the best idea in product development.

In this process, green and hard noni fruits (again, for ease of handling) are chopped up and frozen, and are then shipped to the U.S mainland for processing. Freeze-drying offers no advantage over mechanical drying or sun drying in terms of active compounds or any other attributes. The freeze-dried powder can cost substantially more than mechanically dried or sun-dried fruit powder.
How much Noni fruit does it take to make juice and powder?
About 5 lbs of noni fruit makes a quart of clear juice. It takes about 10 lbs of noni fruit to make a pound of noni powder.
Is it beneficial and safe for pets to take noni?
Nowadays many pets are experiencing similar diseases as humans because of the low quality of the pet foods . Noni has helped many dogs with arthritis and has similar benefits for pets than it has for humans.

Noni juice can be applied to your pet with a tube. Another option is to mix noni powder into their food. Noni juice can also be applied topically for many conditions.

We have received many testimonials from pet owners who have seen their pet's health improve from Paradise Noni juice. During his research on Noni Juice, Dr. Neil Solomon, M.D., Ph.D., became keenly aware that noni's healing influence didn't stop with humans. Thousands of animals, both farm and domesticated, have used noni with results just as amazing as their human friends.

Please contact us for more details on noni and pets.
Is Noni generally regarded as safe?
The FDA has a list called GRAS (generally regarded as safe). Many people have the misconception that products are not safe if they are not on the list. However, the purpose of this list is to establish the safety of products only where there are widespread concerns about a product's safety. Products such as salt and pepper which were commonly consumed before 1958 are known to be safe and are not on the list.

Noni has been consumed for hundreds of years and no side effects or dangers have ever been reported. The War Department Technical Manual "Emergency Food Plants and Poisonous Plants of the Islands of the Pacific" from April 15, 1943 shows a line drawing of Morinda citrifolia and states that it is edible. It says: "Morinda citrifolia: This is a shrub or small tree, varying from 4 or 5 to 10 or 15 feet in height. It is common along the seashore. The flowers are white and the fruits are greenish white. The young leaves and the young fruits may be eaten raw or cooked, and the mature fruits, deprived of their seeds, may also be eaten.

Noni is not on the GRAS list because it has never been considered unsafe. The FDA Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (202-418-3090) focuses on products where a decision is needed. It primarily focuses on food additives, food colors and similar synthetic products rather than on naturally growing fruits and vegetables. According to them if a product is generally considered safe by scientists, it does not have to go on the list.

If one is in doubt, the FDA recommends checking with the Food Science Department of UC Davis to be absolutely sure about any product that is not listed.
Is Noni safe for children?
Noni is considered safe for use by children. Generally children take smaller quantities as adults, according to their weight. Children have experienced many health benefits from taking Noni, including help with croup, coughs, eczema, auto-immune problems, diaper rashes, yeast rashes, sinus problems, constipation, and, of course, any of the reported health issues that affect adults.
What are the main uses of Noni?
We speak about how noni boosts the immune system in other areas. This leaves us with four other main areas that noni is used with:

1) Analgesic

The noni tree is also known as the "Painkiller and Headache Tree" since noni helps reduce pain and headaches. Noni is beneficial for back and neck pain, muscular and nerve pain, migraine and tension headaches. A 1990 study conducted at the Laboratory of Pharmacognosy of the University of Meets in France found noni to have a central analgesic effect. According to studies reported in the journal Planta Medica (Analgesic and Behavioral Effects of Morinda Citrifolia; pg 430-434; Oct 1990), noni has been found to be 75% as effective as morphine sulphate in relieving pain without the toxic side effects of morphine. Unlike morphine, noni is not addictive.

2) Antibacterial, antifungal & antiparasitic agent

With the presence of active components like anthraquinones, scopoletin and terpenes (e.g. beta-carotene and ursolic acid), noni is effective against bacteria and fungus. Researchers from the Philippines reported that a concentration of noni leaves killed 89% of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the bacteria that causes tuberculosis. The researchers identified the active compounds in the noni plant to be plant steroids, or phytosterols. Reference: "Potential antimycobacterial agents isolated from the leaves of noni" Saludes J, et al. International Chemical Congress of Pacific Basin Societies, Honolulu (2000).

3) Antioxidants

The Morinda, Inc. lab tested Noni Juice for antioxidant activity, using a standard test method. They also tested samples of grape seed extract, pycnogenol, and vitamin C using the same method. Grape seed extract and pycnogenol are popular antioxidant dietary supplements. Vitamin C is well known as an antioxidant also, especially in the scientific arena. The results concluded that Noni Juice exhibited better antioxidant activity than the others did.

4) Anti-inflammation

Over-the-counter anti-inflammatory drugs, called non-steroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as aspirin and ibuprofen, exert their effects by suppressing a class of enzymes called cylcooxygenases (COX). Two groups of COX are of interest, COX-I and COX-II. COX-I is a constitutive enzyme, meaning that it is working all the time and is necessary for the proper maintenance of the body. COX-II is an induced enzyme, meaning it turns on when the proper signal is given. These enzymes make various prostaglandins. When you get an injury that results in swelling and causes pain, you can take aspirin, which will suppress the action of both COX-I and COX-II. This will result in some relief, but at the cost of suppressing an enzyme that you do not want to suppress, COX-I, which may cause gastric irritation in some people. Several new drugs have been developed which target COX-II more than COX-I. The reason for this is that they are safer and easier on the stomach. These are also more expensive than the more common NSAIDs. Noni Juice has also been tested to see if it can suppress the COX system. The results were that Noni Juice selectively inhibited COX-II more than COX-I.
What does Morinda Citrifolia stand for?
Morinda citrifolia is the scientific name of the Noni plant. Morinda citrifolia is also known as Nonu and Nono in several islands of the South Pacific.
What is known about the historic use of Hawaiian Noni?
The native Hawaiian Kahuna healers considered Noni their most sacred herb and a healer for every conceivable imbalance. It has been a central part of the Hawaiian culture for many centuries. In Malaysia, noni is known as Mengkudu and is used for urinary problems, coughs, and painful menstruation. In the Caribbean people know noni as the Pain Killer Tree.
What is Noni?
Noni (scientific name: morinda citrifolia) is a Polynesian plant that is believed to have arrived in Hawaii and other Pacific nations over 1500 years ago from India. It is an evergreen plant found in coastal regions as well as in forested areas. The noni plant has small white flowers that develop into a small bumpy fruit. On ripening, the fruit acquires a yellowish color.

The juice that naturally seeps from the noni fruit is called noni juice. It is collected from carefully selected and washed ripe noni fruit.

Due to its rich volcanic virgin soils, clean air and clean water on the Big Island of Hawaii, the Hawaiian noni juice is believed to be of the highest quality.
What is the difference between Hawaiian and Tahitian Noni?
There is little difference between the actual Noni fruit grown in Tahiti and Noni fruit grown in Hawaii. Noni grows mostly on volcanic soils near the ocean. Our noni is grown in the lower Puna regions of the Big Island of Hawaii on fertile natural mineral rich volcanic soils. However, there are differences in how a product gets processed and marketed.

Previously some companies made the claim that Hawaiian soil was high in mercury and lead and that Hawaiian noni fruit might therefore be unsafe to consume. This claim was refuted by an independent study of the University of Hawaii. For more information on this topic, please watch the intriguing video "Tahitian vs. Hawaiian: The Noni debate is over" This video is available for purchase in our on-line store.

According to some reports of several doctors on the internet, there might be health risks in consuming anything grown on several South Pacific islands due to years of nuclear testing and nuclear fallout from Atomic Testing done by the French and the British.
Our products are made from 100% pure Hawaiian Noni and are Made in America! We focus on achieving our goal of making the highest quality products available to people of all income levels everywhere in the world.
What is the shelf life for your noni?
Unopened our Hawaiian Paradise Noni has a shelf life of at least 2 years. Once you open it, it stays good for about 6 months if refrigerated.
What is Xeronine?
Dr. Ralph Heinicke, a research biochemist, pioneered the study of the alkaloid Xeronine. Xeronine is produced in the body (large intestine) from the building blocks proxeronine, proxeroninase and seratonin. Our bodies contain all of these blocks, but proxeronine may be in short supply.

Under normal circumstances the liver stores proxeronine and releases it into the bloodstream every two hours. Additional amounts of proxeronine needed by the body come from the food that we eat.

However soil depletion & environmental degradation have reduced the amount of xeronine building blocks in our food. Also illnesses, aging, stresses and highly active lifestyles can place an increased demand on the proteins in our body.

To increase the supply of xeronine in our body, more proxeronine must be supplied through our diet. Noni contains the building blocks for xeronine, namely proxeronine and the enzymes in abundant quantity. The enzymes are needed to convert proxeronine into xeronine, which is also known as proxeronase.
What really is the traditional Hawaiian method to make Noni juice?
Contrary to common belief, Hawaiian noni juice was NOT stored for many months before usage. If you let the noni juice age for a long time, it becomes more bitter and fermented without increasing the medicinal potency of the juice. The traditional method used by the native Kahunas was to let the juice age for only 7 to 12 days. This is the method follow by Paradise Noni.
What should the color of Noni juice be?
Noni juice is golden amber to reddish dark brown, depending on the age of the noni juice.
What type of problems can be helped by Noni?
Noni has helped a wide range of health conditions. But we should understand that noni is not directly responsible for the improvements of the body. Your body is. Noni helps the immune system work better. Since your immunological system is very intelligent, it will cure itself, using the necessary tools. What the researches of the University of Hawaii discovered was that there was a polysaccharide compound (6-D-glucopyranose pentaacetate) found in the Noni that INCREASED THE ABILITY OF THE IMMUNE SYSTEM TO PRODUCE CHEMICALS THAT ENHANCED THE KILLING POWER OF THE WHITE BLOOD CELLS.

White blood cells have to kill many things besides cancer cells. They have to defend us against virus, bacteria, yeast, ameba, parasites and all types of invaders. Since this Noni polysaccharide worked by increasing the overall killing power of the white blood cells, this means it will most likely enhance that same killing power against any invader. It indicates Noni is very likely an overall immune enhancing substance that may provide that little extra which gives you the winning edge when some invading organism attacks your body.

The power of phytochemicals to promote good health and control cancer is so impressive that the University of Illinois has created a whole new department with 63 scientists and professors to specialize in phytochemical research! No one knows for certain if Noni can produce a return to good health for any specific person, but the research shows there is a scientific basis for believing that it is possible. If one experiences any type of health condition, one should certainly see a physician while one is taking noni or any other kind of herb.

Some of the best Morinda citrifolia research was conducted at the University of Hawaii by Dr. Anne Hirazumi Kim. She demonstrated that noni fruit juice has an anti-tumor effect in mice against a human tumor cell line, Lewis lung carcinoma. She discovered that the possible mechanism for this anti-tumor effect was through the immune system. Noni fruit juice stimulated the branch of the immune system that destroyed tumor cells. She further used isolated whole human blood to determine if human immune cells would likewise be stimulated. In her laboratory experiments, the immune cells were stimulated.

According to clinical trials conducted by Dr. Schechter, director of the Natural Healing Institute in California, Noni stimulates the production of T-cells in the immune system. T-cells play a pivotal role in fighting disease. Noni acts to enhance the immune system involving macrophages and/or lymphocytes, which are a vital part of the body's natural defenses. Noni also has been shown to combat many types of bacteria, and Noni inhibits pre cancer function and the growth of cancer tumors by allowing abnormal cells to function more normally.
When and how should Noni be harvested?
Noni fruit must be harvested in a specific way to protect the fruit's nutrients. The handling of the fruit from the very beginning can have an affect on the fruit's efficacy. We ensure that only ripe fruit is picked by hand.

In a recent article published in the Alternative Health magazine, Dr. Harvey Kaltsas remarked, "Noni's nutritional value is best when picked ripe. This results in the highest level of polysaccharides, fatty acids, and proteins-compounds possibly responsible for the therapeutic biological activity of the fruit."

Some companies have complete control over the harvesting and picking process, while some have limited control, and others may have no control, relying on an ingredient broker's expertise.

If another noni product wasn't working for you, you should consider switching to a product from Paradise Noni because we have 100% control over the production process.

Clearly all noni is not grown and processed equally. You should make sure that your noni comes from a trusted manufacturer that has all the sanitary requirements.
When can i expect to notice a difference?
Everyone is different. Some people will notice a difference immediately, while others will take longer to experience the benefits. This depends on the overall health situation of each individual. Everyone should take Paradise Noni products for at least 90 days. We have experienced that of our Noni customers about 25% will experience a noticeable difference in a month or less, 50% will see their health improve in the second month and 25% in the third month.
Where does Noni grow?
Noni (Morinda Citrifolia) is a plant or tree that grows in hot, tropical environments. Noni grows wild in places like Hawaii, Fiji, Tahiti, Tonga, Samoa, the Cook Islands, and in some countries in Asia and Central and South America.
Which part of the Noni tree do you use for your products?
Our Paradise Noni is made from the Noni fruit alone. We do not use leaves, bark, or roots. We use multi-tons of natural, organic mulch, compost, manures, micro-nutrient rich coral calcium powders, organic foliar seaweed fertilizers and other natural soil and plant amendments. We do not use mildewcides, pesticides or fungicides on our valuable Noni plants.
Will you run out of Noni if you keep selling more?
No, we keep growing more noni trees all the time and now have the largest operating noni farm in the U.S. Noni grows abundantly and can be harvested all year round. It is not like other fruits trees that only give you one harvest a year.
Wouldnt it be better to sell Noni mixed with fruit juice in it?
Some producers and processors mix their noni juice with water in order to lower their production cost and then sell it as 100% pure noni juice. Be wary of clear noni juice that doesn't have the typical noni odor and taste. Others add varying amounts of fruit juice to their noni beverage in order to sweeten it. It is impossible to know, however, how much fruit juice was added and what the quality of this added juice is. Many people are also allergic to grape juice. For all these reasons it is much better and safer to purchase 100% pure Hawaiian Noni Juice and only add water or juice to it at your home. This way you can be certain that you are consuming the right amount of a high quality noni product.
